The University of Connecticut Police Sub Station in Stamford was established in 1995, as the campus moved from rural north Stamford to it’s present location at One University Place, in the center of the city. University Police Officers assigned to this campus are responsible for the public safety in the main building of Washington Boulevard and a large parking facility across the street.

The police department’s headquarters building is situated on the top of the parking garage. The facility includes a student lounge where commuters may study and wait for a ride. The Sub Station is in operation 24/7/365 and officers work closely with the Stamford Police, on matters of mutual concern. Police Officers assigned to this Sub Station are keenly aware of the daily challenges in this fast paced urban environment and do their utmost to create a safe atmosphere in which the staff faculty and students may work and learn. Officers patrol the facility on foot and in marked police vehicles and assist the public by unlocking vehicles and with student escorts.
